I call BS on this.

Decomposition takes place right within the body itself, and there is no stopping it.

My question is, who exactly is one "preserving" their body for?
 
Bizarre. Michael Jackson ( reportedly ) slept in an enclosure with a 100% O₂ atmosphere which would, supposedly, give him a long healthy life.
 

Personally I feel it doesn't matter. I actually hoped to be lost at sea and never seen again. When my time comes just drop my body in a hole and leave it be. Maybe left out in the woods for the animals to munch would be even better. When we're dead we're dead.

He would have had a long life if he stayed away from doctors.
