Video shows how easily a virus can spread in a restaurant

This was an experiment done with fluorescent paint to mimic a virus contamination at a restaurant. I would imagine it would might be even more horrific if the experiment had used a waiter serving in a sit-down restaurant, or a bartender mixing drinks:

I don't know about spreading viruses but it is probably spreading every other disgusting germ out there.
We can't live in a bubble but I would hope a video like this would make people more cautious,
I love to go to a buffet now and then. Even before this all happened I wiped my hands and silverware before eating. I'm sure it didn't protect me completely but hopefully cut down my risk,

Our infection control lady at work had us do this. It's a little creepy knowing that something could possibly spread this easy. Makes you begin to take a look at the world around you a little closer. This pandemic has caused me to change a few habits I have on a permanent basis.

Everyone in a restaurant would be sick all the time every time they visited.

This stuff is beyond irrational. Where was all this in the umpteen flu seasons we've already had?

-Where was it for SARS?
-Where was it for MERS?
-Where was it for Swine flu?

Well, since you love buffets, I'm not sure I should say anything, but....you are more at risk from the food at a buffet than any virus. I have a friend who's a health dept. inspector.......

Hands will always have germs on them - seconds after they're washed. Same with surfaces. Most germs are harmless to us.
Excessive avoidance of germs leads to weakened immune systems. Babies that crawl on the floor are strengthening their immune systems.
