A Vietnam War Memorial in Venice California honoring MIAs was vandalized by being spray painted with graffiti. The police are currently NOT investigating?

Those who deface and damage private or public property are criminal vandals, not aspiring artists.

I didn't know that there was a Vietnam memorial in Venice, but I have to say that is a poor place to have one, as Venice is a world-wide magnet for transients, the "avant-garde" and everyone you'd include under the term "street-people".

Graffiti is rampant in Southern California, so much that police agencies can't possibly spend time investigating, unless there were witnesses.

Los Angeles is the "gang capital of America", with an estimated 120,000 [known]gang members. I would double that figure, and suggest multiplying it by x10(family&friends), to get a more complete idea of how many organized criminals are running the streets.

I wish that graffiti bandits could be prosecuted vigorously, and made to clean up or compensate for their property damage.

The need to do that shows a lack of personal magnetism - that's what my dad would say. Even if one is anti-war, there's no need to desecrate a memorial. I would imagine the police have a lot to do - like catching killers and such.

We have a small memorial here in my hometown on the fair grounds. It is not the same as the wall, but just a memorial to honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice.
