So there was a show on some years ago, Person of Interest (on CBS, I think, 1 of the old major networks anyway), that Hubby & I loved; we watched it every week and were disappointed when it was cancelled. So we discovered that the whole series (5 seasons) was free to us on Netflix. Yay, we'll have something to watch in these nothing-much-to-watch times! So we start happily watching it all over again and since it got cancelled 4 years ago most of it's new to us and we're really enjoying it, something good to watch, yay!

Welp. We're still only about halfway thru Season 2 and I noticed the other day that Netflix says it'll be removed 9/22. No way we can finish watching the rest of it by then, so not a big deal, right? We decided to just order the blu-ray box set of the whole series. Welp, guess what? Nobody other than a coupla people on eBay are offering it for sale and they want an arm & a leg for it. Best Buy (and several other online dvd sellers I checked into) even says the set of the whole series is out of stock, no word when (or if) it'll ever be available again. They've got some of the episodes on Amazon Prime Video which we have but they want $1.99 for each one.

I realize that Netflix has to get rid of stuff every so often to make way for new stuff and the dvd manufacturers aren't putting out as much stuff because more & more people don't even own dvd players anymore, they just watch everything thru streaming services; but woe is me! What about those of us who do watch a lot on dvd players? (Because some stuff, older movies, etc., just isn't avail. thru any streaming service.)

Anyway, thanks for listening; sometimes I wish stuff wouldn't change so fast...

That was a great show, I agree....got to watch all the seasons, luckily, on t.v......I just researched all episodes available on Dish and they're all
not available to record....sorry you;re having a hard time finding it to watch without having to pay a price for it.

Ah, well, thanks for the research on Dish. Maybe somebody'll come up with it at a reasonable price on eBay. (The only ones I can find on there on blu-ray they want about $165--for used in 1 case!--and Hubby says "No way, too much!" When Best Buy still had it, they only wanted $100 for it. But you watch: if BB ever gets it again, I betcha they'll want $175, lol.)
