Vote for new Monopoly tokens

Hasbro is planning to change out the Monopoly tokens, and WE the people get to vote. And there will not even be an electoral college. All the new pieces are gold in color. The original silver pieces are included in the vote too. If you want to vote, you have to remember to "submit vote" at the end,

Is wood an option? The website must be swamped with voters, because I couldn't get on. (Finally got on)
 
No, not the wood ones. I would guess it would be swamped, as it was just featured on the Today show this morning. You have until the end of the month to vote
 

Agree with Butterfly! They are iconic.

However, in these days of computerized everything, it's a brilliant marketing ploy by Hasbro to call more attention to the board game. I know you can play on the computer, but the board game I think is now only revered by what might be now called "cult-followers".

My 2 (young adult) grandsons haven't played in quite awhile, but they say they loved it and intend to play again. If not for their parents and grandparents, they would not have even known about this board game.

BTW, I saw a Youtube video the other night about what's supposed to happen when you land on "Free Parking". Per the video, according to the rules, the answer is- NOTHING, lol! It said at least 38% of Monopoly players continue with rules made up by other people over the years.

What's your favorite player piece?
 
I bought my Monopoly in London about 30 years ago. The tokens are plastic and different from the Monopoly we had as kids.
