"For people complaining at the lack of Johnny's voice, this is part of and album called "Forever Words" which is a compilation of people recording songs that he wrote but never recorded before he died."

"Bob "Wootton plays with Johnny Cash for the first time in Fayetteville, Arkansas, 1968. Bad weather kept Carl Perkins and Marshall Grant grounded. Wottoon stepped out of the crowd to fill in. Wootton did well and played with Cash for the next 30 years."

Johnny Cash with King Charles III rare photo unearthed

"Johnny Cash’s eldest daughter Rosanne Cash, who he had with his first wife Vivian, has discovered an old photo of a young King Charles III meeting her father."

"The Man In Black is pictured, dressed as his nickname would suggest, standing next to a bearded former Prince of Wales. Charles is captured in a suit and tie with his hand inside his jacket pocket."

"Allegedly this photo of Cash, who died in 2003, and The King was taken in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada in 1976 backstage at one of the singer’s shows."

Charles suffers from Dactylitis, known as "sausage fingers". Most like the reason he hides his hand a lot in his jacket pocket etc. Johnny Cash, watched him live once. Never smiled once and seemed an obvious effort for him to be there. Very disappointed.

I discovered Country Western music in early High School and fell in love with it. I liked other music but country Western was my favorite until the appearance of Michael Flatley and Irish Dance. Though I'm more than 3/4 Irish, I'd never heard of it. I was totally enthralled and even took lessons in Irish Dance. Lately, though I'm back to Country Western and all the singers I loved then. So many of them have passed on - it's sad. This has been a great thread! Thank you.

"Johnny Cash had a voice that rumbled as deep as bone and songs that secured his reputation as one of the greats of country music. Now, seven years after his death, his final album, American VI: Ain't No Grave, will be released on 26 February – which would have been his 78th birthday. But while his millions of fans may have believed Cash to be an all-American outlaw, the man himself was obsessed with his Scottish roots."

"The unlikely tale begins in the late 1970s when Cash was returning to the United States and found himself seated next to Major Michael Crichton-Stuart, hereditary keeper of Falkland Palace in the Kingdom of Fife on the east side of Scotland. Cash mentioned that he had heard that his family originated in Scotland. Crichton-Stuart told the singer that he knew this to be the case since there were farms and streets in Fife that still bore the Cash name." (READ MORE)
