Walmarts Mandatory Tip For Drivers

I was all ready to finalize my order when I saw options for tipping the delivery driver $4. $7 or $10. I m paying over $7 for delivery and now they want me to tip the driver. No more deliveries from Walmart for me.

I'm not against tipping, I'm against tipping before I know the quality of the service that I'm about to receive.

You over looked the "custom" feature. It suggests an amount but you can use the "custom" box and tip what you want. Or not tip at all and tip when its delivered. Sometimes I enter no tip and then tip what I want when it is delivered. Sorry you did not read the entire screen.

I don't like the whole tipping thing, I just don't think someone's livelihood should depend on someone else's generosity. If you stiff a delivery person without a tip, you gain financially. The store doesn't loose a thing. The only person , who suffers, is the deliverer. He looses income. And he's the person, who has the least control over what is delivered.
Get rid of tipping.

Like I said there is No Mandatory Tipping on the web site. If you want to tip okay but if you don't want to then thats okay. I tip because I do not drive anymore and it means a lot to me to have things delivered. I also appreciate the attitude of the drivers. I get a text when they are on their way.. If they are out of something, I am notified. So far the drivers have been very nice and bring my stuff inside instead of leaving at the door. It has been a great help to me so I always tip but not the amount they suggest.

Not sure about now, but went Walmart started the delivery service, the tip went to cover part of the delivery fee. Meaning if the delivery fee was $10 and you tipped $10, the driver got nothing more than the original fee . $15, the driver got $5 more. I found that out after a couple of deliveries and stopped getting deliveries.

Ive used the $4 option on a couple of WM deliveries. I just hate how much it costs but there have been recent mobility problems..
I cancelled the tip on a Kroger delivery when I I saw that he had my groceries in the back seat of his car with his DOG!
