Wow Debby, never even saw a toy like that before, with a hole only on one side. That would act like a toilet plunger, scary that they're even available. My dog has a ball with two small holes in it, one on either side, so that danger isn't possible. Just was letting my husband read your article too, thanks for posting the warning!

I've worked in pet stores so I've seen that toy. But wow I never even considered that happening. They should make the dog toy companies recall all the one holed products. That's just too dangerous.

Something sort of like this happened to my daughter who was about nine at the time. She was playing around with a pop bottle, stuck her tongue in it as she was sucking the air out and suddenly we realized it was stuck. Fortunately I was able to slip a knitting needle down the side of her tongue and into the bottle so I could break that seal, but if something like that happened to a pet, it would be game over.

Glad I noticed this on the internet though and I made a point of sharing it on FB (not that I've ever bothered collecting friends like some, but the two friends I have....layful
