I am not a big fan of Seinfeld the TV show, but I have to admit Mr. Seinfeld did a great job as the Duke University 20204 commencement speaker. Sadly, the news media totally over emphasized a walkout by a small handful of students. Too bad since speech (not really that), lecture (not really that either) talk was worth far more than the walkout.

Excellent commencement address! He's one of the few comedians I enjoy. Interesting that two of his kids chose Duke. I've read several articles recently about East Coast Jewish kids attending Southern universities due to feeling safe from antisemitism. Would've never anticipated that 50 years ago, and am horribly sad that twentish years into the 21st century that it's even an issue.

In the address Seinfeld advises graduates instead of following exhortations for "finding your passion" to "Find something where you love the the good parts and don't mind the bad parts too much."

Yeah, that's like part of the advice I started ramming into my son's head when he was a kid: "Find a job you don't hate."

Plus, find a partner you trust & love and you get the drift.....
