Lynn O'Connor is recovering at her home in Washington state after being attacked by a black bear

In its statement, WDFW said the following day, its officers and other wildlife specialists located and killed a 54-kilogram black bear in the area. Officers donated the black bear meat to the U.S. Air Force."

Why was the bear meat donated to the air force? Why not to the homeless/soup kitchen?

So they killed a bear for nothing. Disgusting .Ridiculous that they felt they even had to hunt down the momma bear who was only protecting her baby.

While the team thought the bear was a female at the time it was killed, they later learned it was male.
