Watch the Christmas Star!

It snowed all day and even in the middle of the night (insomnia) I checked to see if it was clear. No. Even without the snow storm, the city lights might have obscured the view. Ironically we had a rare couple of hours were the power was out and without the snow, it might have been visible. Not meant to be.

There is a TV program where an astronomer would tell what planet was in what neighborhood. I never could find it. The sky's full of stars. I can find the moon, but after that things gets harder. I have trouble finding my front door, never mind the SSW of Orion or something. Is there an easy way to find stuff?

Jupiter will be the "star" that first appears after the sun goes down. It will appear somewhere around above where the sun set.
