Great idea, but, how can you reduce your digital footprint now?Called 'The Great Hack' about data mining and influencing our lives, actions and thoughts. I've been on a personal quest to reduce my digital footprint for years.
Some things I have eliminated no smart phone, (flipper), use Linux exclusively for 20 years, Tor, my TV is over 12 years old, no car in my name, listed as driver only on wife's policy, (oops), all accounts (house, utilities, Prime) are in her name, did have 3 cash back credit cards but no more, use cash, no debit card, no retail loyalty cards, no tablet.Great idea, but, how can you reduce your digital footprint now?
It has been a slow and deliberate process to reduce any privacy that you mistakenly thought you still have.
Got a bank account? got insurance? got a car payment? got a phone? got any smart appliances? Drive an auto? Go out in public at all? Go on social media at all? Been to a doctor, hospital, for anything? Closed circuit tv cameras keep an unblinking eye on your public movements. Plastic cards have replaced most dollar transactions and... surprise... you are tracked by that also. Everything I mentioned keep's an ever watching eye on you.
The list goes on and on.Welcome to the new normal.
