Watching on YouTube: Catfished

My latest viewing on YouTube has been a series called Catfished. They are interviewing people, usually females, who have been Catfished by romance scammers. It is amazing to hear their stories, and how these seemingly intelligent ladies have been so scammed.
The scammers are often using the same back stories....stuck overseas, no access to their wealth and need $$$ to get back....and will love and be with the ladies forever. Ladies have usually been contacted through dating sites, or on Facebook.
I know I have gotten occasional messages from men with similar come on lines...Saw your FB profile, cannot send you a friend request, please send me one. I never do. But, so many do fall for this

There’s a lot of lonely, naive, gullible people.
It’s really sad. Dr. Phil has busted a few catfish to help save some unfortunate women and some go right back to them even after knowing. Their family and friends can’t do a thing. These people are super vulnerable and it’s sad that people would take advantage of that. Some people have no moral code or moral compass.

I’ve had snail mail for cat fishers trying to trick me into sending them money. I’ve had some online stuff happen too. I don’t take the bait.

IMHO, I don't find this amazing. This woman is married, has 3 biological children and adopted 3 siblings from foster care to raise. I feel it was stupidity on her part to even get involved with the scammer. She must be missing something out of her life, looking for something else, to fall for such a scam and, to send her husbands hard earned money to this person. She should feel ashamed of herself!
