A small local grocery chain here sold out to Harp foods in Arkansas . I read they have over 100 stores.Do any of you shop at a harps? Can you tell me about their brand? Our store now carries food club and I like most of the items but even that brand is getting high. I tried looking it up but you have to log in.

A friend shopped at Harps til he died. Its on the other side of town from me so I never have. I have seen the flyers for their sales, which seemed pretty good.

Never heard of Harps. Hope it will be a good change.

I like the prices here better. For example at La Bonita Spanish super market drum stix are 3lb for $1.00 Tyson Drumstix @ store 2958 are $1.58lb.
I picked that only because we pressure cook those then finish them like you would chicken wings.

Thanks so much to all of you. I looked at prices and may be a few things cheaper. I sure hope it is not higher on most things. I try and shop the sales and get most stuff at walmart when I can. We went last week and the New Harps people were in the local store I mean they were all over the place so changes are coming.

Where we were in Arkansas, there were 2 Harps grocery stores within an easy drive distance. Both were clean and most food was priced right. As a bonus, they also had gas pumps in the parking lot and were the least expensive gas around.
(sigh)... I miss those stores here in Florida, and I dislike the high gas prices here. Example... Harps today $2.94 a gal. Cheapest gas near me now, $3.39.

Nope. In the PNW we have Kroger (Fred Meyer) Safeway/Albertsons, WinCo, Walmart, Grocery outlet (off brands and expired food) Trader Joe's and Charlies Produce
