Weather extreme cold

Hi Camper 6,we're experiencing the same windchill warning here in WNY today until 7pm
I'm use to walking in this bitter cold weather,I wear 3 layers of clothing, cover my entire face. Sue

We've gotten hit with a cold front too! I have a good friend who runs NashvilleSevereWeather.com. They report local weather but in an hilarious way! His report of the snow that fell Saturday night:

This was a decks, mailboxes, sidewalks, garden gnomes, grills, and fence tops event.
There just wasn’t enough snow. Winds too strong. Ground warm and unreceptive, like that date you stood up at a Miami restaurant one June Saturday.

It won't warm up much around here, for a while. It hit about 13 degrees at its worst, and it's going to be in the teens till around noon today, and as is typical for Nashville, the reported high for tomorrow is 50 degrees!

Can't believe it but today at +30 when I woke up I was cold....
considering for 20 years I lived where it was a lot "cooler" for weeks on end!

This past Fall, I was reading the Old Farmers Almanac, and it was saying that this would be a brutal Winter. We were doing ok through December, but the bottom has fallen out in January....and the forecasts are calling for cold fronts to come through every other day. We've already set one local record for the coldest day, and there could be several more before we finally get to Spring.

There is a weather warning in effect. -25 degrees. We have to bundle up and tough it out. Keep the pets indoors.

Hopefully the mosquitoes die.

Stay warm Camper! Tomorrow by me is supposed to be 27 degrees F for the high and another brief snowfall of a couple of inches. We still have around 3 inches on the ground from the one a couple of days ago. It's going to be really windy again, we had gusts up to 50mph the other night, and tomorrow morning's snow is supposed to come with heavy winds again.

Still warm enough to take my dog out for his walk, I'll just put on my heavy parka and enjoy the winter weather. I know what you mean about the mosquitoes by you, we haven't been in Ontario, but have been in other parts of Canada and Alaska and the mosquitoes and no-seeums can be pretty intense.
