I feel sorry for the weather girls on the news casts. Have you ever seen a homely or even mature one? Weather men don't have to look good. Some are even old guys. But, if a woman wants to do TV weather, she better have a nice figure. Big boobs help too. And, they have to wear tight clothes and spiky high heels.

I won't say I don't enjoy it. There is one on a local channel here who's a knockout. But, it seems a bit demeaning to me. I guess you could say that, after all, they're just performers. I don't know if that's true or not. Are they just reading a script written by someone else, or do they really help with predictions? I assume there are some educational requirements for the job. I'm pretty sure there are physical requirements.

Is this just a local thing in Southern California? Have you ever seen a weather girl who looks like someone's Mom?
 

Not mom, but sister perhaps. Yes, I have seen normal, average women (very few people are 'homely' IMO) do the weather on many local NY stations
 
We have one weekend weather lady who is middle aged with 5 kids but still looks attractive. A lot of the others are fresh out of college and still young. Some are lookers and some average.
 
There's a weekend weather young lady on one of my local stations. Honestly, I turn the channel when I see her because I don't look at the map she is pointing at and couldn't tell you afterwards if it's going to rain tomorrow or not.

I suppose the weekend weather slot is where these youngsters get their start in television and still wear the same outfits they had in college.
