Weird ways animals became extinct

Weirder way: Become the most intelligent animal on the planet, foul your own nest, polluting the air, water and food you need for your survival, kill your own kind in the name of imaginary beings, overbreed while taking pleasure in the number of offspring you've spawned, allow your own greed and sense of entitlement/self importance to ruin the lives of others. Sound familiar?

It sure does.

It makes me think of the buffalo herds that used to roam the American and Canadian prairie lands.

One of the most efficient ways to kill them was to stampede entire herds over cliffs that became known as buffalo jumps.

For sure! If humans continue on the same paths as they currently do, there is a rude awakening coming in the Not Too Distant future. Pollution, Climate Change, Overpopulation, and the increase in things like robotics and Artificial Intelligence, etc., is going to result in some real problems...and probably not more than a 100 years into the future. Humans, especially in the poorer classes/nations are procreating like rabbits, and that is going to result in unimaginable conflicts when "supply" far exceeds "demand". A few years ago, the UN released a study that said the maximum sustainable global population would be about 6 billion....we are well beyond that, and could see as many as 12 billion by the end of this century. Many "futurists" have predicted One More major war....but not nation vs. nation....rather the Haves vs. Have Nots. If the Haves don't run out of bullets before the Have Nots run out of bodies, the population will merge under a common government, and humans will begin the move to the stars. If the Have Nots win, humanity will revert to the Dark Ages.

We are making room for peoples all over the country/world as we destroy forest lands to build little ticky-tacky box homes for people. This is evidenced by growing incidents of animal like wolves, foxes, deer and bears showing up in residential neighborhoods. Polar bears are gravely running out of places to live as the temperatures are rising. The oceans are filling with millions of tone of plastics yet all are bags and bottles are plastic.

Nobody even mentions why flooding is increasing, even in my town: Developers, and the city, county and state officials they're in bed with, are tearing down trees and brush that hold soils down and provide for natural holding and percolation of waters that would, otherwise, run off into streams and lakes, exactly as they're doing now. I wrote a long letter to my council members, and they wouldn't address my concerns, I'm sure, for fear of offending those aforementioned developers who are destroying our country. Behind it all is rampant over-breeding. Large families are NOTHING to brag about, given the predicament we, as a species, now find ourselves in. Yet, our swelling population keeps the greed-driven development of our land going strong.
