Welcome October.

I'm still waiting for the fall weather. It is very warm and humid in New Jersey and it is suppose to be like this all week. My Begonias are still blooming like crazy and look down right silly next to my pumpkin on the porch. I don't have the heart to get rid of them. Mother Nature is suppose to do that.

It's the same down here in Georgia, Ruth, and not expected to cool off any time soon. Our daytime and nighttime temps are still about 10 degrees warmer than usual. Ugh. I'm SO ready for cooler temps and comfort food. Comfort food isn't very comforting when it's hot. And I want to plant pansies (a winter flower here), but they can't tolerate heat.

Great thread

We don’t have the deciduous foliage but do get some events.

The first October morn was greeted by several dozen doves rising to the skies when I opened the cabin door.

Quite the flutter.

It took several seconds, and I enjoyed every one.

No time for the Nikon, but for their tokens

October, the birth month of my 2nd oldest son and my best friend. (Not the same person). I love the fall but hope it starts acting like fall soon. Still hot in my neck of the woods.
