New to the group. Just curious to see what others do during their retirement years, what they think of the current political status in our country and just everyday things most of us are concerned with. Also curious to know if there is a set time most people get online to post to this forum. Looking forward to an entertaining and informative time here at Senior Forums.

Welcome Shorty. Since quite a few of us are in the UK, some in Australia and other places, so post any time!

Thanks for the welcome. The weather is beginning to change here in the states and finally getting a bit cooler with less humidity. Had a fairly active day with only one doctor visit (annual eye check up) that turned out to be a good visit. Don't have to go back til April of next year. Tomorrow is our line dance practice day - my wife teaches line dancing to some of the members of our 55+ community. We line dance for our exercise. Sometimes 4 hours a week, other times as much as 7 or 8 hours a week. What do you folks do for exercise? Been retired long? How do you occupy your days? I guess you can tell I am fairly new at this forum type medium. Oh well, I won't keep you - just my attempt at finding out what others in the rest of the world do to occupy their days. Hope to talk to you more as the week goes on.

Okay - that makes a bit more sense............I think. And to answer Ralphy's question - no the King plays no part in my retirement.

Welcome to all the newer members, i hope you all stick around and decide to get involved in posting to the forum, many seem to drop in and are never to be heard from again after the introduction, so for now, I am wishing all a warm welcome from the comfort of this nice thread.

Welcome again Shorty! Glad your peepers are okay! The only dancing I do is around the house if I'm listening to some tunes. Other exercise is daily walks, couple of hours at the gym each week, house and yard work. Been retired now for 5 years, seems like just yesterday I was punchin' the ol' time clock, LOL. My days and weeks fly by, just doing my dailys, park, shop, dinner, clean up....and it's time for bed again. :eek:fftobed:

I welcome all to some degree, but I reserve my most enthusiastic welcome for fans of the King, and to a lesser degree to those of the Killer...
