Well, did I get a surprise today?

Out shopping this morning and was wondering through BigW department store, and there on my left where they usually stock chocolates and sweets, was 4 departments of Christmas Cards, Christmas stockings, wrapping paper and an assortment of Christmas biscuits, cake and all things
Christmasy. I was disgusted as I read in previous comments, they were looking forward to Halloween.

Could the Halloween items been moved to another section? I find it hard to believe they would miss the opportunity to sell all that candy and cheesy costumes. Is "the Big W" Walmart?

..been the same here for a while Oscash, this is why I believe in many ways time speeds as fast as it does. People can't wait until the natural events come around.. shops have items from holidays 3 months away.... stocked...

Even on here.. certain people will start threads, for holiday events, months in advance...it's very annoying !

Lots of the stores here have Christmas on one side of the aisle, and Halloween on the other side. I personally think it's a bit early for Christmas...

That is a good point. We're thinking about Christmas in July, Valentines after Christmas, Easter in late February, and so on.

I guess it’s the old saying “The early bird gets the worm” theory, but in this case, instead of getting the worm, it should be getting the customer.

Tues, when I was at my favorite Dollar Tree store,looking at cards, I happen to look down the aisle ,saw one of the employees unpacking and putting out Xmas items, wrapping/bags etc. I bit too early for me

Usually Hobby Lobby has 40-60% off sometime in December before Christmas. I used to wait until I got my holiday décor out
and see if anything needed updated, replaced or just a good deal before I buy when that sale came out.

I know places have to make money out of stuff and folk have to buy stuff in advance etc etc etc...

But when did Christmas take up a quarter of the year?

If I had my way I'd have anyone mentioning the C word before Dec 1st thrashed. Miserable owd bugger that I am.

I saw Christmas stuff in stores as early as July this year. Yes, July......Walmart.

We're starting HallowThanksMas early this year.
