It seems Gerry is being a bit of a pill. He went home. Refused to continue at a rehab, or get services at home. For some reason, blaming Julie for all his issues. Thing is, his house is NOT appropriate for someone using a walker and with limited mobility. He seems to be combo anger and denial. Denying he has major issues, and all his problems are his sisters fault..even though she gave up a cruise with their mom, to attend to him.

A reminder to us....get a Health Care Proxy, designate a Power of attorney, Make sure those around you know exactly what your wishes are and are willing to abide by them. There are some people who do not like invoking a DNR, even if that is what the patient wants.

It‘s especially frustrating that he’s refusing services at home. This is going to be especially hard on Julie.

I suppose she wouldn't consider walkin out on him for a while - bit of space and fresh air may help?

I'm very sorry to hear this. People who have had strokes had show behavior issues. If they had them before or not. Sounds like a very difficult and stressful situation.
