We're all blind, at least to some degree

The world needs more love
I ask you to enjoy life, but are there things that lurk just behind our sight? Does nothing seem to satisfy? Are there things in life that we just cannot see?
We have trouble seeing people next door, in the next neighborhood, let alone an ocean away. We do not know, what we do not know. Is it dangerous to open the door to other possibilities?

Houses in small villages here were mostly built with no / small front gardens, and large back gardens. If you walk through this village, you may think it is deserted because people are at the back of their house. They are generally friendly and helpful, but for the most part, keep themselves to themselves.

Not sure I'm getting the essence of your questions, but here is my best guess reply.
I do think there are things we cannot see due to our own biases. We tend to see things through the lens of what we already believe, and it gets interpreted that way.
Another point you mentioned is seeing other people. Probably in most cases we don't, for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's cultural barriers, because the factors that have shaped their lives are foreign to us, and we tend to have a tribal identity that separates us because we don't see them as "us".
In other cases, we all wear masks, meaning that we let others see what we want them to see. Most don't walk around as open books.
Is it dangerous to open the door to other possibilities? IMO, I think it does help to get a broadened view to help in understanding the behavior of others. I get that many prefer a considerable degree of privacy, but I still think there is much we could see with a little effort, and I don't necessarily see it as harmful.

I think we are biased to see in black and white. Any effort to “really” see results in a grey area. Examples abound…religion, politics and social groups. But grey is change and I believe that is healthy.
