Belongs to Penny, the four year-old black Doberman pinscher.
I love to see a guard dog finally win.
When I was brought home to the farm, from the hospital in swaddles, I came home to guard dogs and I’ve had them all my life so hearing something bad about any of them does not sit well with me.
My first Doberman was a red Doberman and in direct line of one of the Seven Sires. This was back in the mid 1970s when my son was a baby and I wanted a guard dog for him.
Theodore Von Benn El was the greatest guard dog ever. He was very protective of my son. My son was also a handful to keep an eye on, on the farm lol. I taught Teddy to track my son and I did that by teaching them to play hide and seek. My son had no idea when he went and hid from Teddy that I was actually teaching Teddy to go find him for my own purposes. That paid off one day when my son disappeared and I couldn’t find him. I sent the Doberman after him. Teddy found him in short order, got paid lots of cookies and my son got grounded lol lol
@dobielvr this is for you as well. I hope you got to see the show. have you ever watched the 1972 movie “the Doberman Gang” it is a robbery comedy and really funny.

If I remember correctly, the gentleman handling Penny has Parkinson’s so it was quite an effort for him to take her around the ring. He also won with a Doberman 40 or so years ago. This is the first time I believe a Doberman has won since then. Maybe politics maybe not.; I don’t know and I don’t care. I’m just happy to see that beautiful Doberman won.
