What’s a strange occurrence you’ve experienced but have told very few people?

In late August of 1976 I was walking alone across a field on the periphery of my university campus at night when I beheld an object in the sky that I first thought was a star, but then noticed that it moved, hovering at times before resuming a slow motion. It was completely silent, and behaved unlike any object that I had seen in the skies before or since. I watched the object in its motions and pauses for several minutes before it moved off, a slight glow pulsing from it as it did so.

The next morning, local area newspapers contained stories about UFO’s being seen in surrounding towns on the night of my sighting…🛸
 

I heard what sounded like a large animal behind me growling inside my bedroom in the middle of the night, and me then being somewhat afraid to turn around.

I did slowly turn around, but there was nothing there, and nothing in the rest of the house when I walked around. Doors and windows were already closed. I was in my mid 30's

Twice in the house I grew up I seen the appearance of a man from the waist up when I was about 10 or 12. Once in the basement & the other inside the house at back screen door when I was in the yard looking towards the house. Each time I told an adult & no one believed me. It was 35 years later when my oldest brother & I was talking odd things, he mentioned seeing what described was half a man in his upstairs bedroom when he was a teen. I asked him a few questions to make sure he was on the level & when I decided he was, I told him I had seen the same thing.
