What’s are some annoying noises that drive you batty?

Unfortunately crying babies really upset me.
If a crying baby happens to be in a movie scene I turn the volume down.
Crows cawing outside my window early in the morning.
I will get up a shoo them away.
A Helicopter hovering overhead.
They drown out all other sounds.

I cannot bear to listen to a crying baby either... I always mute the TV if one comes on...

I can't stand hearing women screaming on TV either.. the piercing noise just goes right through my brain

Any repetitive sound. I am very sensitive to all noise.
I hate wind chimes, and someday I am going to murder the kid next door who has the basket hoop. The constant tapping of his ball on the driveway and then banging it against the back of the hoop is driving me crazy.

Those noisy power trimmers and grass blowers our lawn guys make. Wouldn’t be to bad if they didn’t keep reving the engines.

Oh Gosh that drives me nuts as well. Fortunately we don't have anyone living nearby with a basketball hoop playing baskets all day.. but there's a very sporty family of 5 young teenage boys who live in the next road, and every day they come past my house, and they're bouncing their footballs (soccer balls) all the way along the road... I know they're just having fun, and fortunately for me this noise only lasts a few minutes, but I hate that sound...

The skweeky (I forgot how to spell it) noise my neighbor's bathroom faucet makes at all hours of the day and night sometimes keeping me from sleeping.

This real loud annoying noise that comes from the street behind. Seems it's some kind of maintenance vehicle at the apartments back there. It is so loud my noise machine cannot block it out.

My other neighbor's door banging shut. Grrrr.

Power tools being used when they clean up another apartment to rent.

Any mechanical noise I can't fix due to the fact it's not mine.

Sitting in a restaurant and hearing a motor with bad bearings or the sound of a fan belt on it's last legs.
With the cold weather starting up, seems a lot of the places I visit have some sort of noise as the systems
come out of hibernation.

A cricket chirping outside my bedroom window. The ones that do don't live to find a lady friend with their mating song which has been measured to be at about 100 decibles ...similar to a car horn.

2 years ago an addition was constructed to the church across the street. It took them all summer to build it. All day, every day I heard the beep-beep-beep of large trucks and machines as they backed up. Made me crazy

There is a house behind me and the car parked there has an alarm that is set off by loud noises. That is really annoying. Goes off several times a day.

Loud music gets me agitated. A loud TV does the same.

A noisy car rumbling thru our street while trying to go to sleep at night.

People who chew gum like there's no tomorrow. The smacking!!!!

I don't dislike babies crying but do not like to see them at stores crying and their mother is too busy shopping to even pick them up. That drives me up the walls.

Smoke alarms that decide to start beeping during the night.

There must be more annoying noises... but, I can't think of them.

Akin to the whiny voices and the affection in the video above is the extra sibilant "s" sounds ... as in sssome people cannot just sssay what they want. Very distracting, especially in movies. I call it "squeaking."
