I’m not a sandwich person. Mostly I don’t care for them for a variety of reasons, and hardly ever eat them....EXCEPT in the summer when we grow our own tomatoes and cucumbers!

There is nothing more tasty for lunch than a fresh-from-the-garden tomato and cucumber sandwich, on toasted bread, with a smear of mayo and mustard, and dusted with fresh ground pepper and sea salt!!

Used to get torpedo sandwiches in San Diego with the crunchy crusted bread (It's all in the bread) mortedella, ( the secret ingredient) and a garlicky oil/vinegar dressing, filled with mortadella and varied sliced meats. Oh Boy! Were those good!
I can make them but it's impossible to get the right bread! The bread was the whole secret!
Hi Ferocious! cutie pie!

Hmmmm......show me a picture of your favourite butty, Gaer Girl, I don't recognize it, I'm sure it must be scrumptious. 😊

The best sandwich I ever had was in Adelaide. It was a hot pressed sandwich with turkey, cranberry sauce and cheese inside.

After roast turkey or roast chicken, I like egg salad w. chopped dill pickles .. tuna salad w. chopped dill pickles (mixed in with miracle whip).
