Growing up we moved constantly from town to town, and I was always the new kid. One school I attended in Eureka Springs, Arkansas presented my teachers with a problem. The school I was transferring from was far ahead of them in all the basic subjects, and I was bored. One teacher tuned in and realized that in spite of being bored I was smart. He assigned me the task of applying the Dewey Decimal System to all the books in the library. I took most of the school year, and sometimes I actually had to read the book in order to classify it. So I guess I was a dork.
