What a lightning strike can do to your home....

Yes I understand mrs R.. fortunately we very rarely get earthquakes here and when we do they are very low on the richter scale..

Crikey, earthquakes in the U.K. are not that rare, albeit low on the richter scale, thankfully not as serious as per other countries but non the less we have more than most people probably realise.

This is a list for 2015.....

and then early this morning there was this one...........http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-32840579

As I said not as serious or as big as other countries experience and low on the richter scale but non the less it must be frightning at the time.

We have had lots of lightning all week. Calling for more today. Been reading on our local scanner FB page that they are sending helicopters out to the mountains whenever they suspect a strike may have started a fire. So far though, besides the house that was hit, only a couple of power poles have been taken out by lightning.
