Not sure this belongs here but I couldn`t find an appropriate place for it lol.

Events actually started happening in September but got crazy in October....

Grandson got engaged to longtime gf in Cancun in early September.
Called us 2 weeks later to tell us they are having a baby in early May 2026.
Got married October 6th at the Courthouse with only their parents in attendance. I knew they wanted a very small wedding but I never realized THAT small lol.

Meanwhile, early October we get a phone call from said grandson`s brother that THEY are having another baby at the end of April 2026. #2 for them. This will be greatgrand babies #4 and 5 for us. They just found out they are both having girls. So that will be 1 boy,4 girls for us.

Then last Saturday I get a call from our youngest daughter. The kids all want us to move back to California-even our eldest daughter who moved here to Idaho at the same time as us. Turns out they really want to move back to California as well. So they want to get us moved by mid-November,before Winter hits. That gives us 2 more weeks to get packed, find new doctors in California so our doctors here can transfer records, set up movers(we are going to use PODS),get the house ready to list and a hundred other things I probably not even thought of yet.

Our youngest and her husband need to purchase an investment property as per their accountant so they are going to purchase a home and we will rent from them. It just doesn`t make sense for us to purchase another home given our health issues-especially husbands very recent diagnosis of Pulmonary Fibrosis. That was actually what brought this moving thing into play-we have one acre of manicured grass and 27 trees that always need branch trimming. Thankfully the lawn has gone dormant as of the last week or so he doesn`t have to keep it up anymore-the last time was very, very difficult for him.

So I`m off to empty more closets. Been doing pretty good so far-gotta go get more boxes though!! Wish me luck!

Thanks for sharing your news. It's great the way your family members all work together and care for each other as you do. So many seniors don't have that. You have much to look forward to, and yes, we do wish you well. Keep us posted on how everything goes as time permits.
