What Are Some Of Your Best Dollar Tree Buys?

I love shopping at Dollar Tree and there are five of them that are fairly easy to get to (one I could walk to if I'm feeling energetic enough). It's kind of like an adventure to go to different ones because they each may have slightly different items. My best buys have been:
~Glasses, reading and sunglasses. I went crazy after my eye surgeries left me without the need for prescription glasses.
~Gift cards (I've gotten some beautiful ones there)
~Cleaning supplies (including disinfectant spray, foaming bathroom cleaner, ammonia & Bactiva disinfectant wipes..purse size).
~Aluminum foil (they have Reynolds wrap) & parchment paper
~Small trash bags, also sandwich bags
~Knee socks, some really cute ones
~Some food items (frozen vegetables, lobster egg rolls [really good], , mints, snacks and I love it when I find Edwards key lime pie slices)
~Colorful coffee mugs
They have nice gift bags too but I don't need any because I have plenty left from when I used them to package my aromatherapy and soap products.

What are your best Dollar Tree buys?

I've got about 20 pair strewn throughout the house, shop, and autos.....and coat pockets.

I love the half rim ones, but they've been outa those for quite awhile

I haven't seen the half rimmed glasses in quite awhile.
 

The safety glasses are the very best buy I've found

First ones I bought, I thought I'd just toss.
Turned out they were by far better than the $7 ones at Home Depot
Went back to Dollar Tree and got six pair
 
It just goes to show, how much profit big companies make ...when Poundland and other discount stores still make a profit on the same good, while selling them substantially cheaper...

here for example.. about 4 or 5 months ago..I bought this... at the pound store for £2.00...this is the identical one on Amazon for £9.59

I think some of the stores, even chain stores, buy stuff at Dollar Tree
Doubt they even pay wholesale, just go get at DT
Same exact stuff
The markup averages 50% compared to DT's retail
 
Reading glasses, glass or plastic containers, ziplock plastic bags.

I do try to be very careful to not throw extra things ‘I just might need’ in the basket. It can end up in junk bin.

I have read some buy at the dollar store and thrift shops and resell the items on e-bay....

Me too..I have them all over the place..the house, my car etc. I did just go and get a prescription though because my focusing in one eye is changing..so guess I will be paying a few hundred instead of just a few dollars..I am not even thinking about surgery...
 
Bought a dozen of these beach flip flops a couple of years ago at the Dollar Store for $1 a pair
to either put in the outdoor shower or decorate a kids wall if I ever have renters.
Or put in a basket in an indoor bathroom with shower. Quality not bad for the shower or beach.

I always buy their calendars. But, I didn't see any this year.

I usually buy their paper plates, ajax, reading glasses, and I love the solar lights that you can stick anywhere in the backyard, garden decorations.
When I cooked for my older gentleman friend, I always bought the plastic and aluminum containers.

I go in there w/a list, and come out w/10 other additional things..lol
ETA...and the zories above ^^^ to wear for my yard work.
 
My neighbor turned me on to Dollar Tree when I needed some last minute Christmas gift bags and refused to pay $5.00 plus at the drug store. Other things I buy there now are cocktail napkins, Fabuloso cleaner, food storage bags, plastic food storage boxes, plastic tubs/baskets, refills for my battery powered room spray thingies, greeting cards, snacks and candy and, best of all, dog toys. My baby loves her toys. I missed the little calendars with a magnet on the back for the refrigerator this year if they had them.
 
Before Covid, (when I went out whenever I pleased like it was okay to do that...), I used to get my toothbrushes, flossers and interdental brushers at the dollar store. Same products, so much cheaper.

You know... I was planning on going out *early, early* to Walmart tomorrow to pick up a few things... maybe if I'm out long enough for the Dollar Store to open I can stock up and run.

I stock up on toothbrushes, two kinds of flossers, the interstitial brushes and toothpaste too, including the trial size. I try to get Aquafresh but a few times I had to get Crest.
 
We've got the 99¢ Only Store, Dollar Tree, and The Dollar Store in our area. All of them used to only charge 99¢ or a dollar each, but prices have gone up a bit which is ok with me. Better that than discontinuing the items, offering poorer quality, or reducing the size.

99¢ has a produce section that's hit or miss. Also a lot of snack foods that I don't bother to shop.

Like other posters, dollar stores are my go-to for greeting cards, gift bags, wrapping paper, toothpaste, deodorant and dish soap that I use for toilets (I buy Dawn at Costco for dishes). Since I stock up on the personal care items when I'm running low, I probably only hit a dollar store monthly.

we don't have any of the Pound shop or it's dervitives in our town, so I have to make a special outing to get to them a couple of towns away., in fact they're becoming unpopular for some reason, and recently many of them have closed their foors forever, and therefore where one town might have had a choice of 2 at least, some have none at all and others only one, losing out to the larger out of town discount stores......so I always stock up on stuff like wipes, or padded envelopes while I'm there...

I'm saddend to admit I only made the Walmat run today, but on the upside, they did have a good price on flossers. - I got there at 6A and didn't get out until 8:30A, by which time I was flat out finished. lol.
I may have to order another set of interdental brushes on Amazon. Dammit. LOL
PS: I buy the Sensodyne Extra Sensitive Whitening. Have to. I only have my smile teeth left (hence the badass back dentures) and so must be oh so careful with them.
I used to really like Aquafresh.
 
Another thing I really like are the plastic food storage bags.

One store here carries Dawn. I can’t like it. Considering how little it lathers, I’d almost think it’s a knock off.
