What are you buying on-line that you can’t get in stores and what site on line do you use for specific items?

Black tea in different variety. I like the ones with cinnamon and found one that was caramel apple. Bought it on amazon.com.

I just bought 50 Joist Hangers and 2 Bags of Salt for water softener, and it took me longer to get them if I was able to go to three or four stores to compare prices...

I do a fair amount of online shopping....mostly for "guy" stuff. When I need an auto part, for example, I order from RockAuto.com. If it's for some of my outdoor power/mowing stuff, I go to RepairClinic.com. If an appliance starts to act up, I get a part from AppliancePartsPros.com. For most items, I usually find what I need on EBAY. All of these sites offer prices quite a bit lower than a traditional store. Unless it's something I need right now, waiting a few days usually saves me quite a bit of money....even with shipping.

Just recently, with this coronavirus, my wife started making face masks for us and the family. She quickly ran out of 1/4" elastic for the head bands, and the local Walmart was sold out, and her sewing store is shut down. I went on EBAY and found plenty, at less than half the Walmart and sewing stores prices. I got enough such that she is now making a bunch for the neighbors and friends.....and may even take several to the old folks home in town. She has gobs of material from other projects, so this is keeping her busy, while we have to remain "housebound".

After my English pen pal who is a fellow tea lover gifted me with Thompson's Everyday Tea from Ireland, it has become my very favorite tea. I order it directly from Thompson's in Ireland.

I order my art supplies from DickBlick.com even though there is a brick and mortar store in Columbus which is about 45 minutes away. Let's me avoid the manic traffic in that area and browse to my leisure.

I always order my dance shoes from Tic Tac Toe Shoes which I can only find online.

My husband found a site to get toilet paper....Can't find toilet paper in our parts....

So finally the toilet paper came …..The toilet paper is from China....Ugh!!!!!

It's my son's birthday soon and I wanted something personalised. There is a range of items available on-line, which I couldn't get in a shop.

Is it made of bamboo? They are selling that in the stores here, very cheap price, very cheap toilet paper, but it works.

I have had Amazon "subscribe and save" service for a few years; I get cases of toilet paper, paper towels, k-cups, and assorted other products (detergent, etc) each month. Even when the toilet paper shows not available on their website we have continued to get our monthly delivery.

Stuff for the computer
Appliance and car parts
Phone batteries and screen protectors
I usually go to Amazon and branch out from there.

Finally my Black elastic arrived today several days late, which I'm going to use, to hand sew Face masks.... ( I don't have a sewing machine) the department store where I would usually buy it is closed during this crises

Hubs enlarged the concrete patio area in our rear garden so he had to buy a couple of things online which he didn't already have stored in the barn for the job... ( again all hardware stores and builders merchants are closed)

he bought some watch oil ( don't ask me what that is )....

The only reason I shop food online is to reduce the number of minutes I spend in a large store. I also run in to small corner stores and Walgreens and CVS for some items for some items. My Randalls has Seniors Only from 7-9 on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I do that as well. When I hit the big stores I have my map made out so I go through there like the roadrunner and I am out.

One of the advantages online shopping is selection. Stores just don't carry the variety of merchandise they used to.
I'll find one or two items of clothing in my size, then I'll look for the same item online & find several colors & sizes.

^^^^^There's a thumb lift for ya, @Keesha^^^^^^
Yes. Because the soprano saxophone is straight, it needs to be played at a certain angle to get the right mouth connection and proper sound which requires pushing the saxophone out some otherwise the head is bent down which restricts the air flow. It adds too much pressure on my thumb so I’m taking the old thumb rest off and adding a new one that puts less pressure on the thumb. It’s actually a common complaint with the straight sopranos which is why some purchase the curved ones. It’s not something I even considered when I purchased it but I wouldn’t trade my saxophone for anything. It has the most beautiful tone.

I’m having a hard time getting a proper cleaner for it though. When I went to the huge music store I was told that an oboe cleaner would work but here is the oboe cleaner. It’s far too flimsy and doesn’t do a good enough job.

So I recently purchased the recommended soprano sax cleaner off amazon only to find that they were out of stock. I was offered a flute replacement which I’ll probably have to send back. Later I read the reviews and someone else mentioned that they got this one instead and it got stuck in their saxophone. The top of the saxophone has a very small opening so I’ll have to wait until the product arrives to see how it works.

Aren’t you glad you asked. Come to think of it you didn’t really ask. Sorry for the overkill explanation. 😂🤪@RadishRose. ;)
