What are your pets names and what type of pet are they?

Wow, I love people who adopt rescue animals and so many types of animals, too. Very cool...you have a big heart and reading your positive and inspiring post is the best way to start the day for me!I have 6 rescue babies that I refer to as my "zoo crew". They consist of (1) Horse (1) Pot Belly Pig (1) Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot (1) Maine Coon Cat (2) Miniature Pinschers. Their names are:
Horse - Midnight (He's jet black)
Pot Belly Pig - Clara
Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot - Kooka (She came with that name. No idea what it means)
Maine Coon Cat - Moose (He's a big boy)
Miniature Pinschers - (1) Female named Lexie and (1) Male named Louie
Awesome little puppy...great pictures..thanks for sharing those..very nice to meet Duke, indeed! We just got a new puppy, and he is a 4-year-old pitbull/lab mix. We've had him for 3 weeks this Sunday. He has fit in very well... His only problem is that he is reactive to other dogs, because of what he has gone through in the last year... But we'll work at that problem... Here's a couple of pics of him...
Meet Duke... the name he came with was Meatloaf, but he is learning his new name very well... So again, Meet Duke...

Thank you @VeggieMan, this is the longest we've ever gone without puppies... After Lennie and Carl, which I am sure there are lots of pics of on this site...we didn't think we could have any more pups... but the house was just so empty without a dog again...Awesome little puppy...great pictures..thanks for sharing those..very nice to meet Duke, indeed!
Thank you, I got Oscar at 2 yrs old. Very high energy dog and a young couple just had 1st baby and they felt he was being neglected. They actually brought him to my house to watch his interaction with me to make sure he'd like it. That was so special. It was love at 1st sight for Oscar and myself.Love those dogs...great pictures and very cool names! Have they been with you since they were puppies?

Love that story. Thanks for sharing that. When you came into these dog's lives, Irish Eyes were smiling for them. Your care, concern and genuine love for these dogs are heartwarming! Myer was 6 months old in a family with no fence, on the busy street right across from the Chicago White Sox Stadium. The little girls would dress
her in doll clothes and tie her into baby buggy and stroller. It took me 2 years for her to allow me to hug her caused from the trauma of the girls. She was so scared of people.

You're such a caring person. People who find in their hearts and their homes;a place for rescue animals are very special people. Thank you for sharing your experience. Most of my dogs have been rescued. I adopted the little black dog 9 months ago after her mom died. She’s older and needed 2300 in vet care. She’s also very timid so I saw her on facebook and took her knowing that she might not survive the shelter.
The little guy was given to me by a show dog owner who quit showing dogs and didn’t want to keep all 10 dogs. She ended up giving me 3 dogs but sadly 2 have passed. For some reason, I can’t get the picture to load.
I just click on attach files and then my iPhone asks how I want to do it and I click on photo library. It usually works for me but for some reason today it won’t. Now the message I get is that the picture is too big, but I tried a bunch of different pictures and they are all saying that. You're such a caring person. By the way, I haven't figured how to post a picture on any of my messages here. My rescue beagle likes to show off...If you figure it out, please let me know!

I usually rescue older dogs as they have the hardest time getting homes. For many years when I had my home, I always had four rescue dogs. However, when they all got old and were on various medications, it got to be so expensive. now I live in a condo and I have a two dog limit. that’s probably good so I don’t get tempted to take more because I really can’t afford it.
They were incredible and so are you. What a great thing to do for the voiceless animals. You should be proud of yourself for giving all the members here a perfect example of what the word "empathy" truly means..My dogs were all rescue, Dusty was a black Lab, Angus a Scottie, Murray a pug, Morrie was a mix, Snooy a beagle, Lexie was resue 10 yr old Rotty, Jake a rescue part GSD and part wolf, and the last four were 8 week GSD puppy rescues. They were brought into the shelter where I volunteered and they were totally fur-less. Four months later I had them healthy and al adopted. They were incredible! No dogs mow and I really miss all of them.
