What Blood type do you have?

I’m B negative. It’s a rare blood type as @Kayelle’s chart indicates. I donate regularly... my blood type is in such demand because there’s so little of it.

The only time I had to have surgery (bladder prolapse) I donated my own blood and had them set it aside for me just in case. It wasn’t thank goodness so it was donated.

A European study published last month in the New England Journal of Medicine found that people with Type A blood were 45 percent more likely to develop severe COVID-19 requiring oxygen supplementation or a ventilator than people with other blood types and that those with Type O blood were 35 percent less likely. The study involved 1,610 patients with severe COVID-19 and 2,205 control subjects.

Yes I read that too. I wonder if the "why" will ever be known.? The science behind the small statistics are an interesting preliminary hypothesis and very interesting to me. On the other hand, while it may be interesting, to be concerned about your unchangeable personal blood type is a waste of concern no matter how you look at it.

"Hmmmm.....being of noble birth, One cannot discuss One's blood type in public, other than to say that One's blood is of course blue."
"Footman, fetch One a flagon of ale, One needs to wet One's whistle!" 😊

Since you saw that too, and didn't brag about it, my intelligent assumption is that you do not have O type blood.
