What did you forget on your last weekly shop?

We hit Costco once a month and Walmart once a month. We went to Costco last night and I forgot the yogurt. Funny thing is I could have sworn I put it in the cart.

Would you believe it--I forgot to buy ice-cream at Safeway yesterday, Granddaughter's fav. food!
Her Mom, very wisely, never buys it!! :cool1:
The weather still is very warm and cloying, even though summer is technically over.
Sure makes you very thirsty--still, ice-cream seems like a good idea.

I make a list on a magnetic notepad on the fridge and then forget to take the
note pad to the store! YIKES!

I usually don't forget anything as I make a list of things that are needed daily. But this week I forgot to bring Tessy's (my dog) food. Now I only have only 2 days meal for her. Luckily my friend suggest me of Hudson's Chow where we can order dog food online. I've ordered it, lets hope the food quality is good.

If I don't take a list, I forget everything that I need. There have been several times I've gone without a list. I will just have to guess at what I need. Well, I get home and find out I have gotten everything that I have plenty of and nothing that I'm out of. Needless to say, I have to take a list with me if I want to do it right.

There is a way to get around having a list, if you are willing to spend the time. You slowly and methodically wheel your cart through every single aisle in the store and look at everything in the shelves. :p You will not only end up with everything that would have been on a list, but many, many, many, more things. This was my mother's method. ;)

We forgot the olive oil and coconut oil in our shopping last night, But the funny thing is even though we go shopping with a list of things in mind we always come home with extras that are not really wanted or needed but are brought to just try out. How many of you tend to do that? Try out new things?

I used to do that on days when I had plenty of time, I would also stop and read the labels on many, many, of the items! This type of shopping is definitely not a team sport, LOL!!!

These days I do most of my label reading on the computer before I hit the store so I can zero in on the best choices for me.

I usually take a list, but forgot it today. Just had a couple of things to buy. I forgot margarine and bought eggs I didn't need because I just bought a dozen three days ago.

Taurine. It's an amino acid that helps me to sleep. I had it on the list but just missed it because I had so much other stuff on it and sometimes I can't read my own writing. Have to get it Monday.

I forgot the coffee filters...:grrr:so I improvised and used new nylons as a filter. It worked and my sanity was saved..
