What did you last find hiding in the bushes?

I worked up my strength a couple of weeks ago and decided to trim the hedges out front. You know there are always those long sprouts that come up on the back side. So, I stepped around and started scooting in behind cutting. I could only go a few minutes at a time, that trimmer is heavy. I stopped it, dropped it to the ground, leaned over to catch my breath.

There tucked into and behind the hedges was a backpack. So, I drag it out, open it and there in lies a couple of water pipes, a few lighters, a grinder and a little bottle of pot. Color me surprised!! The darn thing is in my garage now. I have a feeling it may belong to the teenager next door but have not been able to connect with him yet. I am not mad, upset, just if it is his he needs to store it eleswhere.

There is a small pond near my house and every time I mowed around it I'd see my grandson's soccer ball in it but there was no way to get it out, this has gone on for over a year... then about a week or so ago I found it in bushes up on the bank, I guess the high winds from the storm blew it out.

No animals, but last summer a piece of my string trimmer fell off and I couldn't find it. I just located it last month in the bushes. Now if I could only figure out how to put the darn thing back on.

FYI - A string trimmer, aka weed whacker, is for removing weeds in the garden.

Your grandson will be happy to have his ball back. :)

How blessed you are to have such beautiful critters come visit you.
We are ! We see eagles and bobcats too. I’ve got about 100 eagle pictures but no bobcat ones. They are usually too fast and too far away to photograph but it sure is special seeing them. We get flocks of gold finches, mourning doves, grackles, and crows at times.
