What do you consider a GOOD day?

Around here, the bulk of the TV auto insurance ads seem to be from AAA. I suspect that a major share of their customers premiums go towards paying for these TV commercials.

Except for the years I was overseas in the military, I've had State Farm insurance for my entire driving years...about 60 years. Every couple of years, I check rates with other companies, and I Never find a better deal with any of them....usually it would cost me more to go with AAA, Allstate, Geico, etc....often quite a bit more.

Auto insurance, like most any insurance, is a waste of money....Until/If something happens. If you need to file a claim, or need roadside assistance, and if they don't give you good service, it's time to change companies.

Knock wood, I've only had one claim in the past several decades....a couple of Winters ago, I hit a patch of ice, and rammed sideways into a study roadside mailbox, and did about $1500 damage to my truck. I took it to a good local body shop, showed them my SF card, and they had it all fixed in a couple of days for a small co-pay, and no hassles.

Don't believe these TV commercials.
AAA has been swift to pay on the few claims we've submitted and they recommend the very best, most reputable body shops in the area. (Though I'd be free to go to any shop I chose.)

Someone else's experience may differ. I can only report on my own.
