What do you miss the most in your childhood?

Being agog at the penny candy counter.

Climbing trees and staying up there for hours.

Being able to play hide and seek, at night, outside.

Halloween and trick/treating.

Getting a new Easter Sunday dress with new patent leather maryjane shoes.

Skating around the whole block by myself, with my skate key around my neck on a string.

Dad coming home and that meant dinner time.

Spending the night outdoors in the back yard.

Riding my bike from can't see to can't see.

My father taking us fishing in his small boat.

Christmas morning when I'd see our little tree all lit up for the first time.

As my first childhood has seamlessly merged with my second, there is nothing to miss. I have never missed any stage in my life, I accept the here and now.

Lilacs (they don't grow this far south)

Going with my dad and grandparents to the lake as soon as the sNOw melted to open up the cottage for summer

Picking berries early in the morning in the summertime to put on my cereal

Sledding and going ice skating after supper in the wintertime

Going to Gramma and Grampa's house on holidays

Walking to the park at the river to go swimming after chores were done

Aurora borealis

And daylight in the summer at about 4 am and lasting until about 10 pm
