I don't think that the major sources are overtly lying to us, either, but I see them as perhaps failing to emphasize some stories, and raising others to prominence, and this is based on editorial policy. I also see a lot of personal opinion sneaking its way into what is basically straight reporting.I think the problem is, too many people don't know the difference between a legitimate news source and an opinion outlet. I have yet to see anyone post a link to show that the news media is lying to us.
Basically I'm apolitical. I seldom vote for national office, and mainly *do* vote on local measures/candidates, although without much hope.
The last presidential election I voted was for Obama in 2008.
Interesting...let's see...
68 - Humphrey (after favoring RFK in the primaries--but I turned 21 in Oct, and could not vote in primaries)
72 - McGovern
76 - Carter
80 - Carter
84 - Reagan
88 - Reagan
92 - Perot

I'm trying hard to see what's in front of my eyes, as best I can. Party has nothing to do with it.
