What gets you ornery or cantankerous these days? Is it different than the old days?

After working many years in a very stressful career, I try not to let things in retirement bother me too much. However, as I read through this thread, the list seemed to expand.

1.) I am highly offended by those who cannot carry on a conversation without the use of four-letter words. One's vulgar vocabulary only exhibits their lack of intelligence and ability to converse in a productive dialogue. (Yes, that is stated after spending a career in the construction industry where the norm seemed to be interjecting four-letter words into each and every sentence.)
2.) I am highly offended by how helpless the citizen is to control the political control of the Country. Seems our single votes are of no account. I am even more highly offended by those on either side of a political issue who want to tell me how to act or what to believe. Have your own personal political agenda. Try to force it on me and I'll take you out!
3.) I am highly offended by politicians who have never served the Country sending our sons and daughters to die in a war. I am highly offended by politicians who refuse to participate in the very programs they force on the "common" people.
4.) I am highly offended when the Golf Gods treat me unfairly and I have a tough round on the course... just like it was this morning!!! @#$%^ :)

I guess mine would be talking to those who only know what they read on the internet and never experienced those things
Next would be those who complain on everything and are just negative people in life and usually not the type to be around
Last would be those who destroy others property, rioting, looking and other illegal acts and not punished nor held accountable in liberal areas, some are even encouraged to do so.

Just no use for those types in my life.

Junk phone calls. I registered on the do not call list but we still get them. The ones that really get me are the obvious scams. Like when they are fishing for your personal information with phony "surveys", or tell you that you have won some prize and all you have to do is...............

We got a good dozen or so of these lately that lead of with "Do you have smoke detectors in your house". At first I just politely told them that I wasn't going to answer their questions and don't call any more. But the same people kept calling almost every day for a couple of weeks, even after I told them I was going to report them to the FTC, which I did.

I got pretty rude with them towards the end. I haven't heard back from them for about a week or so, so I hope they have given up.

Colorful language does have it's place. During my tour of duty in Vietnam I used a great deal of colorful language as did nearly everyone who served with me, and it was most appropriate given the circumstances.
