Just saw the ad..(TV)..

for the New flip phone..

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip4...starting @ $299.99

Who's in for...Back to he future?

Not sure what commercial you saw but starting prices I found were around $999. I am guessing the $299 is with a contract and I never buy a phone under contract anymore. It looks interesting and better than the previous attempts at an Android flip phone but I still worry about the crease and other issues with a flip smart phone.

I loved my old Razr back in the day though. So much so that I still have it stored away for some reason I don't understand 😊 It was one of the few times that I did buy into the hype and didn't regret it.

IMO a great decision. I always buy the Google branded smart phone starting with the HTC Dream. They don't come with the "bloatware" of other Android phones such as Samsung and they always get their updates first. My current phone is Pixel 5 and will hold on to it until it won't be able to support the latest version of Android.
 
My husband would like a flip smart phone so it would fit better and more securely in his pocket. If Apple came out with one, he’d probably buy it.
