What has changed since the Israel-Gaza ceasefire?

I found this article on the ABC (Australia) website. It's long but informative.
We're five weeks into the Gaza ceasefire. This is what has changed

Headings are :-

Violence reduced, but deadly strikes continue
Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza
Hamas fighters stuck in tunnels
Most dead Israeli hostages have been returned
Aid deliveries underway, but some say more needed
Gazans displaced by war start returning
Where to from here?

unfortunately I think the rest of the world has just got tired of watching?

and according to biblical sources both "tribes" - started off as brothers? - same father - different mothers? hint Abraham was the father?

How many times do you broker a Peace, until you finally have peace? I remember celebrating successful peace agreements on several occasions over the years. I don't know, maybe not several, but more like three. I can't keep track.

Getting everlasting peace between these 2 territories maybe a pipe dream. Neither one wants to let go of of the areas they believe they control. I think it’s still far away to ending and eternal peace.
It isn't about territory, though. Territory has been offered 3 times, and Gazans refused.
As tiny as it is, especially relative to the Arab world, they simply don't want an Israeli state in the Middle-East. Not anywhere in or near the M-E. That's what it's about.

Netanyahu is responsible for making anti semitisem popular around the globe. As if Jews need more tsuris. This Bibi is willing to sacrifice thousands to save his own corruption. His supporters want to bring back a golden age of their own imagination. Shame on him.

Two state solution is the answer. Otherwise constant death. There are Christian groups in Israel promoting Netanyahu for their own goals of biblical prophecies and the second coming. Insane. These Xians fuel the flames. Netanyahu and them use each other.

It’s not an eye for an eye but a thousand eyes for one eye. Palestinian not innocent. No one here is.

I agree. Many Israelis are talking about holding a special election and even indicting him asap.

Maybe, but (imo) it should be up to Egypt and Jordan to carve out a place for the "Palestinians", since that's where they're from. But Egypt and Jordan don't like Hamas any more than the Israelis do, so establishing a new government for the Palestinian people would have to be the first order of business. Then a peace agreement, not only between Israel and the new Palestinian state, but between the new Palestinian state and Egypt and Jordan, as well. The Palestinians caused a lot of trouble for them, even after Egypt gave them the Gaza Strip.

There's not going to be a "two-state solution."

Gaza was given near total autonomy in 2005 and rather than develop their infrastructure and try to make a good life for themselves, they put most of their efforts into building a tunnel system and acquiring arms to attack Israel. And it's not just Hamas acting in isolation. The Oct. 7 attack had the support of 72% of Gazans.

Should Palestinians ever get their own state, they'll use their newly acquired freedoms to develop a military and then attack Israel. Other Arab states might join in to help Palestinians. Some countries will help Israel. It could develop into a large scale war -- possibly with nuclear weapons.

It's possible only if the Palestinians come under new leadership, are re-educated/de-radicalized, and closely monitored for at least a couple decades, and more loosely monitored for a few more.

That didn't work the first time, but maybe the region is well and fully fed up with it now. Seems like it, for the most-part.

I agree there is not going to be a two state solution. It's difficult to re-educate and de-radicalize and change people who are devoted to a radical, discriminatory, and violent thousand year old ideology. It's best to try to keep it out of the U.S.

Palestinians need a cultural shift from one of victimhood and retribution to one of prosperity. They're taught from birth that the ultimate "achievement" in life is to martyr oneself for the cause and to kill Israelis. As a result, they might kill a few Israelis, but they're the ones being decimated. Yet even so, they believe they're the ones who are winning. Even with the 1,000s of Palestinians who died in the latest war, they were successful in making themselves look like victims and the Israelis look like monsters. Several European countries now recognize a Palestinian "state," despite the fact that Palestinian leadership is nowhere to be found. You can't have a state if you lack anything remotely resembling a stable government.
