What hurts today?

In the words of the late, great Roseanne Roseannadanna, it's always something, if it's not one thing, it's another.

I think we need a thread to complain a little.

This morning I had to ask my husband to bring my wheelchair in from the garage because it seems I have a "bruised heel" which reaches level 10 every time I step on it. I know it's a bruised heel because WebMD says so. It promises I'll get better in a few weeks.

Where do you hurt today?

Ya know, @Della , I was just wondering yesterday if there was a thread like this... my curiosity was mostly for checking up on people who've been sick or hurt. Even in the short time I've been here, someone fell, a few had Covid, some battling other things... and I'd like a place to know how things are going without looking each post up separately. So thanks for starting this! (y) To answer your question, I hurt absolutely nowhere today.

My best time of the day is early morning, so nothing major this morning.....as the days goes on my left heel hurts to walk on it.....I know I need to go to doctor, just keep putting it off.
Sounds like a heel spur, a growth that causes pain when you put weight on it. JImB.

The "pain" radar map tells me this is all over major pain day,
and you know I can feel the pain all over...only had one pain free day since friday..whoopeee...oh and it is raining at 39deg and will get worse...oh oh, and you missed out on biscuits and sausage gravey home made....:p
I've forgotten what a pain free day is.. I just get used to it and carry on... I'm grateful that my pain isn't caused by a terminal disease... and at least I can still carry one with life..

MY shoulder blades hurt ( result of the fall over a week ago)... and it's very icy and cold today.. so the OA in my fingers hurt...
I hope the aches from the fall soon heal up for you, @hollydolly . Is there anything that relieves the OA for you? Sometimes my toes get to aching and it's been suggested that's what it may be. My Mama has always had problems with that.

I'm sorry you might be getting it Kate.. I find that heat helps it.. and sometimes I'll wear the fingerless compression gloves at home and that helps. I take Magnesium Sulphate as from a few months ago and that seems to help with the worst of the pain.

Trouble is that when the Bone spurts grow, as is happening now on my third finger ( first 2 fingers are already misshapen)..the pain can be excruciating.. but there's nothing but to bear it really. On trying to explain it to my family I tell them, just imagine bone is trying to grow through your shin, there's nothing you can do about it, but bear the pain.. and take Paracetamol at it's worst..

My knees... same as every day, but it is getting better!

Can you get them surgically removed? I know that works for some bone spurs, not sure about fingers.

Apparently you can, but in at least half the cases it doesn't remove the pain.. ..on the whole tho' Doctors don't recommend it unless it's caused Major deformity... ( some of us with ugly hands would call that a major deformity)..
