Ever thought about preserving the "essence" of who you are (Including your voice) for your G.G. G-kids to resurrect a likeness of you in the future when robotics and AI are more advanced. It's not about immortality, but about them getting to experience what it would have been like having you around, and getting to interact with the clone of you.
We all have pictures and mementos of us that they will be able to look at, but what if it was more than that. What if they had Grandma or Granpa 2.0 to talk to when they felt the need. Your wisdom, your unique personality, your voice, and outlook on life that would be interactive.
Clearly it's not for everyone, but 20 years from now, it will be amazing what's possible, and there are already companies that offer it. The opportunity to be more than a memory. It's interesting to think about anyway.
