Lucky 13!

These two items are from the Victorian era, are made of Sterling silver, and are approximately 2"-3" long. They are used singly, not together ...

WHAT IS IT?

Something for an old razor?? *really* wild guess, there.....

Bleah... I'm holdin' out for a better hint.

As with virginity, those who hold out too long miss all the fun!

With the slats on the end, I'm thinking some kind of a crimper.

No, not a crimper ...

Some sort of shaver / scraper. ?

Nope ....

Something used to lace up items such as boots?

Nope, not a bootlacer.

Yes, I was thinking that too, but I couldn't visualize how that would work.

Me neither. ;)

Your first hint ...

[HINT] Odds [/HINT]

They're bookmarks!!!!

.........or not....... :p

No, but I suppose they could be used for that ... ;)

Odds Bodkins!

DING!!! DING!!! DING!!! DING!!! DING!!!

Wow - for someone who was afraid of coming to this one you got it right out of the gate!

They are bodkins, a type of needle which can be flat or round and that is generally used for threading elastic, ribbon or tape through casings and lace openings.

The phrase "odds bodkins", by the way, was first used in entirety in the 1734 book "Don Quixote in England", and is a euphemism for "God's body".

Good job, TG! :D

Never heard of those before but I understand the concept. Another good one Phil!

Thank you sir!
