I've got a more modern version. doesn't work as well as the old ones did.

The best scooper I ever had wasn't the mechanical kind - it was just a scoop, an all-metal one, but it was massive enough and solid enough to scoop the side out of a mountain.

When the ice cream began to stick to it you just ran it under hot water, but not for TOO long because it was also an excellent conductor of both heat and cold. layful:
