When my mom was alive we'd receive gift baskets during the holiday season. I remember some awesome Harry&David pear (also moose munch, etc) towers over the years. And a Wisconsin Cheeseman (I think it was) gift baskets of lots of different cheeses. And Hickory Farm gift boxes. I think there was a nice dried fruit and nut gift one time.

Nobody sends me any, I'm not sure what my mom did that people sent her those, whether she sent them similar things?

I sent one last year to my daughter but I forget what type it was. I think I might send myself one this year (as well as to my daughter), but maybe it is cheaper to try to find the individual items and buy them at the store. Wouldn't seem so special tho.

What gift baskets do you like to receive or send to people?

Themes geared to hobbies or specific interests; maybe pet toys or supplies, reading materials, music, paints and brushes, fancy grocery, spices, etc. Yarns, needles, things like that.

I would love a small, maybe a 2-3 pc. collection of fancy coffees, a nice mug and a bottle of caramel syrup.

I'd like to receive a case of wine. One year I received a basket with a selection of cheese. These came from friends down in England, but the cheeses were from a local dairy here in Scotland! Very nice all the same. One Christmas we sent them a side of smoked salmon from the oldest smokehouse in Scotland. Unfortunately now, the cost of packaging and overnight delivery is almost as dear as the fish!
