What kind of phones do you have? Or do you have any?

When I was a kid, we had only one big heavy, black phone. It had its own table. Our telephone number was 7321. I was never allowed to touch it, I might make a long distance call. It was a huge deal when it went to "4 -7321". How in the hell were you supposed to remember all those numbers, and then you had to dial them all in? OMG!! Now, I have a land line phone in every room( in case I fall), and a flip phone.
What kind of phones do you have? Or do you have any?
 

A landline with two handsets, two regular Princess type old phones and one basic Tracfone that isn't used very much, just for short calls between my husband and myself and in case of emergency.....luckily haven't needed it for that yet.
 

The only phone that I have is this little burner, I miss The Wire!

fuzzybuddy, I grew up with party lines... different rings for different families. And one phone only in the house! Often you would pick up the phone (and those phones were quite heavy too!) and one of your neighbors would be talking but as soon as they heard that click of you picking up they could tell you were listening! Makes me laugh remembering that. And still today after all this time of having a cell phone I miss do the opportunity of slamming that phone down when I'm angry... Just not the same today... I have an iphone 5 now and apple is producing a model 10 now. They are so very expensive but I use my phone a lot for the computer and taking pictures.
 
I have an iPhone 7 plus. That's it. It goes where I go. The "plus" means that the screen is bigger that a typical cell phone, which is great for being able to see what's on the screen more easily because as I've gotten older my eyesight has gotten weaker, and also because I do so much on the phone that being able to see the screen is important to me. Pretty much my whole life is on my phone (backed up once a week so I don't lose much if it gets destroyed)...everything from contacts to my calendar, photos and to-do lists, daily calorie counter and bank log in info, virtual Wallet with all my cards, email, all the forums I frequent daily (this and a number of others) a couple different browsers so I can search the web for whatever I need, my library app so I can listen to books while I work, reminders, messenger, weather, maps...and on and on.

For many years I've had 3 handset cordless Digital landline at home ... and currently a rose gold Iphone 6S as well ....

Landline square shaped phone only. Large keys. If you wanna get in touch with me via phone, and I don't answer during its 4 rings, I ain't gonna. LOL I've gotten so many donate this, donate that calls I gave up answering the phone. I figure that if the call is of a serious nature--the caller probably knows to contact me via email or Facebook. However, sometimes I take a chance that it's not a "donate" call and answer--and a few times it hasn't been.
 
A basic Tracfone, I carry when I go out. It has a very small window, no camera. I have a land line in the living room and one in the office. The land lines are for my roommate's benefit. Both landlines have volume controls.
 
Land line phone in every room. Very old, beautiful little Nokia which I carry strictly for emergencies. I bought a new battery for it, but the old one was still fine. We are holding onto an old Blackberry and flip-phone (just in case), but we also have an iPhone.
 
We have a land line, and each have cell phones. Cells do not get as much use now that we are both retired, but hubby not willing to give them up. He gets frustrated at the number of times I go out and leave phone at home.
 
No landline, do not miss it at all. It seemed like most of the phone called were those automated telemarketing calls anyway. Real people always called when I wasn’t home, so then I had to deal with voicemail, or no voicemail , and no knowledge that I had even missed a call.
Now, I have my iPhone 7Plus, and my Apple Watch , and I make most of my calls outgoing with the phone, and answer incoming ones with the watch, because it is right there on my wrist, and I never miss ANY important phone calls anymore.
My phone usually just stays in the bottom of my purse, I have all of the alerts/ringtones shut off, and just feel the vibration on my wrist when I have a phone call.
Plus, the Apple Watch is a pretty complete medical alert device as well, so it performs two important jobs, as well as being the very best activity tracker ever. I can even wear it when swimming, and it tracks all of that, plus my sleep and heartrate.
 
We have four cordless landline phones and a mobile each, which we take when out in case of emergency.
