What shoe do you wear on a daily basis?

I've been having some foot and ankle pain lately and am thinking about buying some better shoes. Does anyone have a shoe they would recommend?

Make an appointment at a local store that specializes in athletic shoes, orthotics, etc… and spend an hour seeing what is available.

I’m usually bare foot at home and wear a Merrell walking shoe when I’m out and about.

They can be a bit spendy but they always have coupons and clearance deals.

Ah... so many variables to consider!
What is great for me may be awful for you.

Hokas were terrible, as were sketchers.
I LOVE Brooks.

I know people who swear by Sketchers but, I gave away the pair I bought, didn't like them at all. I have a pair of Merrells and they really comfy.
When my Merrells need replacing, I will buy another pair but, I will never buy another pair of Sketchers. (y)

Sketchers, fixed my Plantar faciitis, which I got from standing on concrete studio floors for up to 12 hours a day... the pain was horrendous.. nothing else worked..nothing !

I tried skechers basically as a last resort.. and it was like I was walking on a cloud.. just magic.. it prevented me from having to take sick time..

People who denounce skechers , usually don't realise that there are many different types..

I would always particularly recommend skechers Go-Ga Mat style.. they are cushioned inside, extremely lightweight and like walking on air.. ..they come in slip on style and lace up... ...however I have about 7 different styles... and like them all...

Maseur sandals are my daily wear, I also wear Hoka shoes for relief from Morton's neuroma. I mostly wear Johnny Reb bike boots for riding and when I ride to work.

Around the house, I wear cheap sandals and buy no particular brand. About 2 years ago, one foot started really hurting and I noticed the soles of those sandals had worn down quite a bit. I bought some new sandals which were a different brand, but similar, and within 2 days my foot no longer hurt.

I agree with Merrells being a good walking shoe. I wear Skechers around the house and on easy walks. I wear Merrells more for hiking than anything else. They are more sturdy than the Skechers . My ankles twist in the Skechers but don’t in the Merrells.

I wear Skechers and Merrells also. It depends on what I am doing, Skechers indoors, shopping etc.. things done on even surfaces and Merrells if I plan to be outside working or anywhere walking on uneven ground. Most of the time just hanging in the house I have on flip flops or fuzzy no skid socks.

I buy Hokas for work. What do you not like about them?
