What to do with a newspaper flag print

My aunt gave me a bag full of newspapers to wrap my things in while moving. One must have been from July 4th because I came upon a full-page print of the American flag. I feel awkward and don't know what to do with it. It seems disrespectful to wrap knickknacks in it, or just throw it out. If I took it to the Legion Post, they'd probably laugh.

It's a picture of a flag, not the flag itself. But, if you can't get past it do what we normally do with flags that are battered and unsuable. Burn it (not like the protestors), but with some respect and good thoughts about the things it represents like the Bill of Rights

Deb, I'm sure that when those papers were being printed that at least a few were damaged and so had to be disposed of. Like others here have said, it's not really a flag. If you ever threw away a history book, it may have had pictures of an American flag inside but those get a pass. I think that it's admirable that you care so much about our country to be that concerned but honestly, do what's been suggested and dispose of it as you normally would ant other newspaper. If it helps any, fold it with the flag print on the inside of the folded paper. God bless America and God bless people like you! ((((( Hugs! ))))) 😊

Just wrap something special in it.

Did you try to get any roll ends from the newspaper. The cost will be offset by unwrapping clean items, especially from the kitchen.

The paper hat directions from @Aunt Bea
are so funny, and bring back fun memories too! :giggle:

And it gives me the additional idea, of using a special newspaper page,
to make special hats, for special occasions! (y)

How about making one, out of that page described in the OP, and wearing it in next year's 4th of July Parade!:)
