What to do with old cell phone?

I recently got a new iphone. My old iphone 4 is still in perfectly workable condition. It seems a shame to throw it out.

So I have two questions:

1. How do I remove all my data, photos, etc. from it?

2. How do I donate it? Is there a worthy cause that collects old, usuable cell phones?

Anybody know?

I'm not sure how to wipe the data off but they are saleable on the internet or at a pawn store or just give it away to someone who will have to activate it.

The camera part is always still o.k. however. That can always be used.

Go into your settings and choose Reset. That will wipe everything. Settings/General/Reset

There are several ways to donate; one agency takes donated phones to give to soldiers to use to call home. Google for details.

At the time we bought our new iPhones, everything was transferred onto the new phone from the old one. After that, we found a website that bought them and sent both to them. The sent us back a check, along with our shipping cost.

Now, this isn't about a cell phone, but when we bought a new digital camera last year, I called a Photography School and gave our old digital camera to them. The screen in the back of the camera no longer worked (one reason for buying a new one), but the school didn't care. They were just glad to get the camera.

Aren't there a couple of places that will take them to give to women's shelters and also veterans, the name escapes me at the moment.
There should be a choice in your settings app that says res
